LYEN SMS Terms & Opt-In
How our text messages work, how to opt out, and what to expect.
Program
- Brand
- LYEN Inc.
- Program name
- LYEN Project Communications
- Message type
- Service and transactional messages about your account, your project, and your appointments. If you were referred to LYEN by a home services marketplace, we send a single message about arranging your estimates, and nothing further unless you reply. We do not send promotional offers or advertising.
- Frequency
- Variable. Typically 1–5 messages per active home-improvement project or job. If we are reaching out about a marketplace referral, exactly one message unless you reply to us.
- Who receives messages
- Homeowners and property owners who request work through LYEN, and the contractors who bid on and perform that work.
- What homeowners will receive
- Project request confirmations, estimator appointment confirmations, 24-hour reminders, "estimator on the way" notifications, post-visit follow-ups, quote and project status updates, and customer-support replies.
- What contractors will receive
- Invitations to bid on projects matched to their trade and service area, award and claim notifications for jobs they win, scheduling and milestone updates, payout status, account and verification notices, and customer-support replies.
How you opt in
You consent to receive these text messages when you do any of the following. Each of these places states, at the point where you enter your number, that providing it authorizes LYEN to text you.
- Book an estimate visit at lyenfl.com/estimate/schedule and check the messaging consent box.
- Sign up for a homeowner account at lyenfl.com/signup and provide your mobile number during registration.
- Sign up for a contractor account at lyenfl.com/contractor/signup and provide your mobile number during registration.
- Add or update a phone number in your LYEN account settings, or during account onboarding.
- Confirm your details on a LYEN claim page after we reach out about a project, at lyenfl.com/claim.
- Submit a home improvement request to a third-party home services marketplace, such as Angi, HomeAdvisor, Thumbtack, Networx or Yelp, and consent on that marketplace's form to be contacted by matched service providers. LYEN receives your request and that consent from the marketplace, and contacts you about free estimates from licensed local contractors.
- Verbally consent during a phone call with a LYEN representative (call recordings are retained for compliance).
- Reply to any LYEN text with
STARTorUNSTOPafter previously opting out.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of creating a LYEN account, requesting an estimate, or being awarded work. Contractors are asked for a phone number so we can verify the account and reach them about live work, but agreeing to recurring text messages stays optional and can be withdrawn at any time.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number is used to deliver the messages described above and, once a contractor claims your job, to connect you with the contractor doing the work. Sharing to service providers and contractors is permitted only as needed to support the service. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from every other kind of sharing and will not be shared with any third parties. All handling is bound by our privacy policy.
How to opt out
Reply STOP to any LYEN text message at any time. You will receive a single confirmation message and no further texts. Standard opt-out keywords (STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT) are all honored.
